Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu met with Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey at the ITB Berlin Tourism Fair.

During the meeting, Minister Ataoğlu was accompanied by UBP MP Ahmet Savaşan, Ambassador Beniz Uluer Kaymak, TRNC Representative in Berlin, and Mine Emiroğlu, Director of the Tourism Promotion and Marketing Department were also present.
Minister Ataoğlu first conveyed his condolences to Minister Ersoy due to the earthquake disaster in Turkey, and then held a meeting on tourism-related issues.
Emphasizing that they have a very good cooperation with the Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mr. Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Ataoğlu stated that this year they shot a new promotional film with the support of Turkey and that these films were broadcast on TV channels and websites broadcasting in Russia, Germany and the UK, including Turkey.
Explaining that the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey also supports the promotion and marketing activities of the Northern Cyprus destination to attract more demand, Ataoğlu said that the TRNC economy always needs the tourism sector, so they will continue to work uninterruptedly for the growth and development of this market.
Explaining that a large number of agencies and tour operators from Northern Cyprus came together with agencies operating in the German and Turkish markets, Ataoğlu stated that the tourism stakeholders of the two countries should always be together.
Stating that there was a demand above the expected demand at the ITB Berlin Tourism Fair, which was organized face to face for the first time after about 3 years, Ataoğlu wished that disasters such as pandemics and earthquakes would not happen again.
ATAOĞLU CELEBRATED THE DAY OF WOMEN WORKING AT THE FAIR
Ataoğlu, who is in Germany for the ITB Berlin Tourism Fair, distributed carnations to women on the occasion of March 8 International Women's Day.
Ataoğlu first celebrated the day of the women working at the TRNC stand and then visited the Turkish stand and gave carnations to the women there.
Stating that the value of women is quite high due to women's unlimited love, tolerance and sacrifice, Ataoğlu said, “We cannot value women enough. If the woman is strong, the family is strong, the society is strong. Therefore, we need the strength, conscience and wisdom of our women in every aspect of our lives.”.
